Clean Windows, Clear Mind

Do your windows look like they haven’t seen a sponge in years? Are they filtering light for you, without your permission? If so, it's time to give them a good clean. Clean windows are essential for selling a home or just enjoying life.

I find very often that homeowners have filthy windows and they don’t even realize it! Over years grime and dirt build up, but we go about our lives and don’t pay much attention to it. Next thing you know, your rooms are darker and cloudier than they should be, all because it’s been a minute since you’ve cleaned your windows.

My preference is to hire a professional to clean your windows, but if you're on a budget, you can do it yourself. Just put in some elbow grease and follow these simple steps:

• Gather your supplies. You'll need a bucket, squeegee, microfiber cloth, and window cleaner.

• Start by spraying the window cleaner onto the glass.

• Use the squeegee to wipe the window cleaner from top to bottom, in a straight line.

• Dry the window with the microfiber cloth.

And that's it! You now have clean, sparkling windows.

This is an easy way to make your home look more appealing and well-maintained - two things buyers are looking for when considering a home purchase.
